It has been 50 years since the fall of the First Order, with no republic or government the universe is ruled by out laws and an abundance of Exogorths, that are both the greatest pest and the second greatest threat to any space traveler. The first greatest threat is the extremist group known as Plagueis. The Plagueis cult is, searching for their masters great descendant, one so powerful with the force that to him death is little more than sleep. You are this descendant the  5th to hold this great power and the only one in five generations to be capable of wielding it.
